I had to come up with a banner (although, after reading the directions after I completed both versions) for my Advanced Image Manipulation class (some Photoshop, mostly Fireworks), I came up with this look.

I used a tutorial by SystemDark that is no longer on his site and used it as a template for my 2nd banner.
